Its cracked, weathered surface stretches from the foreground toward a narrow opening, with faded double center lines and thin white edge markings. Dense cloud banks press against both sides of the pavement, concealing the surrounding ground. Monumental cumulus towers fill nearly the entire sky, their rounded sunlit tops rising above deep blue-gray folds. The road disappears completely inside the clouds, with no vehicles, buildings, or guardrails visible.
