A massive abandoned Japanese temple transformed into a terrifying cybernetic cathedral, completely devoid of characters. The enormous traditional temple has been expanded into a gigantic industrial structure of black steel, concrete, ancient timber, exposed machinery, and glowing circuitry. Traditional roof ornaments have been replaced with enormous mechanical components while thick cables hang from the ceiling like roots. At the center stands a colossal mechanical Buddha statue with its head partially destroyed. Its remaining face is illuminated by a single flickering red light. Hundreds of tiny monitors have been embedded into its body, displaying corrupted Japanese characters. Rows of broken torii gates lead toward the statue. Their red paint has almost completely decayed, leaving dark wood and rusted metal. Thousands of paper talismans cover the walls, many burned or partially torn away. A shallow layer of black water covers the entire floor, reflecting the statue and flickering machinery. Occasional sparks fall from the ceiling into the darkness.
