A brown bear in a red shirt and blue pants, wearing purple slippers, is bent over a blue cast-iron stove with a black chimney, stirring a pot with a spoon. A smaller brown bear in a light blue shirt is perched on the larger bear’s shoulders, looking down at the stove. The stove has a top shelf holding a salt shaker, pepper mill, and a blue speckled teapot with steam rising from it. A small orange pot with a lid sits on the stove’s front burner. The floor is yellow and green checkered. The illustration is in the classic Richard Scarry style with bold outlines and bright, flat colors.
