An intimate DSLR portrait photograph of a leshy, ancient guardian of the forest, its face formed from living oak bark with deep ridged fissures revealing soft green cambium beneath, eyes like two pools of dark amber tree sap that catch and hold the light, a beard of grey-green old man's beard lichen and trailing moss hosting tiny living insects, small mushroom clusters and shelf fungi growing from its temple, fresh spring leaves and unfurling ferns sprouting from the crown of its head, a fine spiderweb strung between two bark ridges on its cheek jeweled with morning dew, shot in a misty old-growth forest at dawn on a 90mm macro-capable portrait lens at f/2, god rays of volumetric morning light filtering through canopy behind it, shallow depth of field melting the forest into green-gold bokeh, every bark crack and lichen frond in tack-sharp detail, subsurface glow where thin new bark meets light, 8k, naturalist documentary photorealism.
