The monster is crouched on top of a stack of VHS tapes, barely four feet tall, almost perfectly camouflaged. Its body is a single black C90 cassette tape split open down the middle, its arms and legs are unwound spools of rust brown magnetic tape, and its mouth is a gap between the reels lined with hundreds of tiny sharp teeth. In the immediate foreground a single handheld radio lies silent, its speaker torn out. In the background shelves stretch away into total darkness, lined with thousands of identical unlabelled tapes. The only light comes from a single red exit sign above the door, casting deep crimson shadows. It has not yet noticed it is being watched.
