Norwegian with blond hair, blue eyes, and fair skin tone, Portrait of a joyful Norwegian "russejente" (rødruss), celebrating the end of high school. Photographed on a crisp, sunny late-May morning in a small Norwegian town. She is a young woman with long blonde hair tied in a high ponytail. She stands outdoors, smiling broadly with teeth visible, looking slightly to her right. She wears the traditional bright cherry-red cotton russ overalls (bib-and-brace style), slightly rumpled and lived-in. The overalls are densely covered across the chest and thighs with embroidered sponsor patches, handwritten signatures in black marker from friends, small pins, and safety-pinned trinkets earned from various russeknuter challenges. A white heart is embroidered on the right side of the collar. Over the overalls she wears a bright red jacket. On the left sleeve of the jacket are several patches: - A rectangular patch reading “RUSS 2024” above a small Norwegian flag - A circular patch below it that reads “RUSSEKULLE BUSKERUD” Background: Softly blurred city street lined with buildings. Other people in red russ clothing and multiple Norwegian flags are visible in the background. Photographic style, natural late-spring daylight, sharp focus on subject, shallow depth of field.
