A highly atmospheric, character-focused illustration of a solitary, heavily cloaked astronomer standing on the crumbling stone balcony of an impossibly high, isolated mountain observatory. The figure is looking up in a state of sheer, sublime terror and awe as the night sky is physically torn asunder by a blinding, celestial rift. Gigantic, luminous rings of fire and the vague, terrifying silhouette of an unfathomable cosmic entity peer through the churning, violent storm clouds. The astronomer's silhouette is starkly backlit by the blinding astral radiance, while the jagged mountain valley miles below is completely swallowed in pitch-black, impenetrable shadow. Epic scale, classical romantic fantasy.
