The Subject Watercolor image of a young boy with messy black hair and exaggerated, wide "googly" eyes is sitting on a low, rectangular white block or garden wall. He is wearing a green-and-white striped t-shirt and red shorts. He is holding a orange-and-white tabby cat on his lap. The cat looks content and is sitting upright in the boy's arms. The Action and Details The most prominent detail is the state of the boy's feet. He appears to be wearing white socks covered in blue paint. There are small puddles of blue liquid underneath his heels. Leading from the bottom left corner of the image up to where the boy is sitting is a trail of blue footprints. The Setting To the left of the boy is a sketchy patch of green leafy plants. To his right, resting on the wall, is a coiled green garden hose, suggesting that water or gardening was involved in the situation.
