dimly lit corner of an old, deteriorating room with stained floral wallpaper peeling along the seams; the walls display two framed landscape paintings, their gold frames tarnished and slightly crooked; the ceiling above shows dark smoke stains spreading outward in uneven blotches, suggesting previous fire damage or years of neglect; in the foreground, a hand holds a large, glossy black beetle—its shell iridescent, catching flashes of blue and violet in the light; from the top of the beetle’s body rises an unnaturally tall, bright flame, burning steady like a candle wick; the warm glow of the flame illuminates the beetle’s segmented legs and reflective carapace while casting shifting shadows on the wall behind; the scene feels surreal and unsettling, blending everyday decay with an impossible, almost ritualistic image of a beetle acting as a living flame source
